Default Wiki is not a reliable source of info...........

It is user content, posted by users, edited by users, and is for the most part totally unreliable. Lets suppose that anti's edit the info to say that even with a CWFL you cannot carry outside your house, would you abide??

Great point there, I think some of the info on there is correct, such as the post office, even though it dosen't mention post offices in the Florida laws, it is a Federal thing. As far as some of the other things I think some of them may aply to some states, but here it dosen't, that's where I need to just refer to the Florida laws.

Welcome to the forum, GM.

What do you mean by the above, and where did you find such information?

That's why I asked where you may have come upon that information.

Again, Welcome. I think you'll like it here.

At some local Publix grocery stores there are large signs which display the following:

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

NO TRESPASSING

NO SKATEBOARDING

NO PETS

Now, I know that no pets or skateboards go without saying. The signs do not state the 30.06 Statute which allows businesses to opt-out of allowing CC licensees. These signs are not outside of every Publix, either. But would the "NO TRESPASS" portion of the sign be relevant to those carrying a firearm or other self defense weapon?

Or is that specifically for those who are asked to leave for whatever reason as they come up?

I don't see why a no trespassing sign would have any special relevance to a person legally carrying a firearm. I'm not aware of Florida Statute 30.06 allowing a business any such option.

Here is another question. You go to one of your local gun stores where of course they have a sign saying no loaded weapons or something to that effect. It has been established here that you don't have to listen to those sign, do you anyway out of courtesy in this specific instance?

I was never sure about this and wondered what others do.

I have no idea where you got your information, but it is totally wrong.

Here is what Florida Statute 30.06 states:

Quote:
http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/ind...n%2006#0030.06

The 2009 Florida Statutes

Title V
JUDICIAL BRANCH Chapter 30
SHERIFFS

30.06 Liability of sureties.--The sureties, if any, are liable for all fines and amercements imposed upon the principal, or sheriff.

History.--s. 4, ch. 987, 1859; RS 1240; GS 1669; RGS 2874; CGL 4571; s. 1, ch. 20719, 1941; s. 12, ch. 98-34.
