I'd love to see a thorough list of websites being targeted, just to see if they have anything in common.

I suspect that what they have in common is money, in small, medium, or large amounts. It appears that the people doing this are trying to make copyright a cash cow.

Greg, BTW.... we discussed having the membership go to all their individual past quotes and prune out possible copyright infringements, but when your case was brought up we decided that the task was unsurmountable and we would settle for future posts only! LOL!

While I'm thinking about it...has anyone checked in on TampaSsgt? Make sure he's not flopping around on the ground in some form of withdrawal symptoms or fits? I'm REALLY gonna miss his little news updates...beats watching the 10 o'clock news any day....with him posting stories, I get to see news that actually interests me.

On a more serious note. I truly do feel for admin and mods here, as well as other folks, in other forums, who work so hard to offer a comfortable place such as this where good people can carry on conversations that are important to them. While I understand the need change the rules, I just think it's a shame it's even an issue stemming from nothing more than pure greed and selfishness.

I'm sure this group won't miss much of a beat, having to click a link vs seeing the story WILL certainly be an inconvenience, we're a pretty chatty bunch, I don't imagine this will slow us down much.
